Overview
Every company must appoint a statutory auditor at its first AGM, who holds office until the conclusion of the 6th AGM. Form ADT-1 must be filed with the Registrar of Companies within 15 days of the AGM at which the auditor is appointed.
The auditor must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (or a CA firm) who has given written consent and a certificate that the appointment is within the limits prescribed under Section 141.
